PRIVACY PROTOCOL

1. SOVEREIGN PURPOSE

Sentinel AV is a security utility engineered for threat detection and device hardening. This Privacy Policy outlines our commitment to zero-knowledge security and the limited data processing required for active defense.

2. DATA COLLECTION & PROCESSING

To provide high-precision protection, Sentinel AV processes the following information:

• File Hashes: When a scan is initiated, specific file fingerprints (SHA-256) are generated locally and transmitted securely to our threat intelligence nodes (Cloud Firestore) to determine safety status.
• System Logs: Non-identifiable error logs may be transmitted to ensure the stability of the heuristic engine.
• User Identity: We use Firebase Authentication to secure your Premium Pass. We NEVER share your identity with third parties.

3. PERMISSIONS & REASONING

The application requires the following high-level permissions to operate:

• MANAGE_EXTERNAL_STORAGE: Required to scan high-risk directories (Downloads, Telegram, WhatsApp) for malicious payloads.
• FOREGROUND_SERVICE: Required for the Layer 1 Watchdog to provide real-time interception of zero-day threats.

4. DATA RETENTION & SECURITY

Metadata relating to scanned files is retained only as long as necessary to provide protection. Our "Silent Trust Vault" logic ensures that trusted local files are exempted from further cloud-reporting, minimizing data leakage.

5. THIRD-PARTY DISCLOSURE

Sentinel AV does NOT sell, trade, or otherwise transfer your personally identifiable information to outside parties. All threat intelligence queries are conducted over encrypted TLS 1.3 channels.
